The next on her list of training was the development of Monkey Hear, the first in a line of skills about gave her some extra assistance in combat. It had been quite some time since she had been to hell, but the memories of such a place were hard to get rid of. They were a plague in their own right, but there was wisdom that came within pain. There was knowledge that came within, for her it was the stories she had heard from her mother. It was the words of demon magic, it was something she had seen before but its depth was something she had barely scratched. It was the source and inspiration behind her Blight Shadows. Maycair had a strong desire to evolve that skill, but she was working on ideas for it still. No she had a new technique in mind, it was something a bit more intelligent in its applications. Some demons had been known to use their own DNA to make minions. She wasn't so keen on the idea of having henchmen, but allies were a comforting prospect. So she had gone back into her mind, practicing what she knew of demon magic to progress her proficiency.
For her, it was a scary prospect for sure, to split her DNA in such a way, it couldn't last for long but it was almost like having children. That was something she had never thought of before, well it had crossed her mind once or twice. She just never thought it was something that would actually ever happen. Maybe this was the closest Maycair would get to it. It was a little depressing to think about it, maybe it wouldn't do any good to dwell on it any longer. She didn't want to put herself in a darker place, but sometimes the things the mind dreamt up were a sick way of guiding oneself. There wasn't any good in thinking about this, it could help push her but it would also drive her to madness. So it was back to the work, back to conjuring up ideas. If she was going to make something similar to herself she would only hope that its strength would be rather useful. No, that was wrong, that was thinking like her parents. If it was truly alive, a piece of her even if they were only temporary she would still treat them with respect.
"Alright, time to get to work, TD, I'm sorry for whatever this puts you through today. We are treading into unknown territory my friend, who knows where this could go. Hopefully, the new family members treat you with kindness." Maycair would joke. It was a good way to break the tension between herself and the unfeeling machine. He was growing rather annoyed by the direction of some of their training sessions, however. If he were reprogrammed by a scientist she would rue what potential actions he might take. May tried to treat him well with repair and oil, but when you were a living punching bag that didn't make it easy. May thought though, that often she was the one getting more punched than he was.
Maycair focused her Ki, pushing it into her body, using what she had known of magic to try and conjure an image. Magic was all about intent, about control. It was a true test of focus, she had to do more than direct her energy. There had to be a strong reason, a will driving forth the power. Her mother said this to her often, some people had been inately skilled with it such as Advokate. The young halfling was not, her two conflicting natures always made it difficult for her to get a handle on her powers. Finding harmony, and learning to have unison in them was one of the best choices she had made.
Once again, she continued inward, using her energy, thinking of the shape she wished to grant the creature. It was her, a version meant to assist, to have joy. This was a creature that could have fun, that could enjoy its' purpose of combat. It was a struggle to give it shape in her head, but the creature was beckoning forth. The DNA within her was taken by her energy, given shape as something began to grow in the bit of her stomach. The energy expanded, moving up her throat. It was alive, it was going to burst out if she didn't spit it out. She would, launching what seemed to be an egg?
The egg would land in front of her, twitching strangely. She was sure she wasn't a reptile, maybe that was a strange aspect of her demon dna. She was exactly the most ape-like of saiyans. It would begin to crack, an edge lining up the side of the shell. UNtil something would burst out of it. From it a finger, then a hand punching through. It was a small demonic ape, the creature had fur and color similar to Maycair. It also had a set of wings, along with small nubs on it's head indicating some form of horns. The impish app looked at her playful, climbing up Maycair as if it wanted to play. It was a rather sweet display for her, a neat little friend. Even TD would look at it with interest.
Maycair would point towards TD, directing the small creature. "Go on, he really wants to play with you, he would love to see how you play." With that simple command, the creature perked up, a small chirp rattling from its' lips. With a quick dash, he had flown towards the training dummy. It ran circles all around the man, climbing up and around his body, like a personal jungle gym. It leaped in the air, launching Ki blasts. Then, it had done something that was quite interesting to Maycair. It would create its own Blackhole bomber, treating the attack as a toy. A ball meant to be thrown back and forth between them. Still, he seemed rather upset when it would blow up in TD's face.
"I'm sorry buddy, he just wants to play. humor the little guy for a bit I'm going to make dinner." Maycair would say walking away from it. In all honesty, it was an attempt to see how well it would be fair. As she would walk away, the sound of denting metal and a howling ape would follow. It seemed like they were really getting into it, it was good for them to find friendship in one another. May thought that to herself, a small smirk cracking.
